Thomas Spencer-Wortley

A few days before Christmas Joy and me filmed and photographed Singer Thomas Spencer-WortleyAll Angels and guest appearance of Camilla Kerslake at Birmingham Town Hall. Thomas gave a superb performance and the whole evening was amazing to film. The stage, colours and lighting were beautiful with a stunning performance from each artist!!!

I have since developed a Promotional Video for Thomas from the footage which will be used to promote him throughout the world. Due to copyright issues I am unable to display the video on this site which is a real shame. A few of Joy’s pictures from the evening are below. We are unable to show anything with the Choir Visible due Copyright. But will be able to add more of the other artists once permission has been given.

Lumbers Jewellery Party

VIP Event at Lumbers Jewellery Shop

A few weeks ago I filmed at Lumbers Jewellery Store which had been transformed into a Michelin Star Restaurant for 3 nights on the run up to Christmas. Champagne in the Yellow Diamond Showroom, models exhibiting Jewellery and a 4 course meal followed by X Factor Star Ruth Lorenzo performing to the audience. What a night!!!

I got some really great shots from the night which has made a beautiful Cinematic event video. Here are the highlights/montage from the evening:

HD Wedding Video

HD Wedding Video

HD Wedding Video

Beautiful Life specialise in HD Wedding Video. All our weddings over the last 3 years have been filmed in HD. So if you have a Blu-ray DVD player or a Playstation 3 then you will be able to see your wedding video as it was meant to be seen. HD quality is 6 x that of a standard DVD. All previous weddings filmed in HD are stored and archived safely meaning that you can still order your wedding on Blu-ray even if you were one of the first to be filmed in HD 3 years ago.

Geeky Info

High definition (HDTV) is the highest form of digital television. It has a 16:9 aspect ratio which is very similar to that of a cinema screen. Your eyes adjust far better to a rectangular screen compared to a square screen as your eyes always prefer to go left to right rather than up and down to take in information. With a wide screen you can see so much more detail which is great for wedding videos and movies. But HD television is mainly about the quality. 1080i is all about the amount of lines of information in the picture. Basically the more lines the better the picture quality.

The normal standard of television is 720 x 576 compared to 1280 x 1080 – which is a big difference and makes all the more difference on larger tv’s. 1080p is better than 1080i.P stands for progressive and i stands for interlaced. Progressive processes the images twice as fast and so shows a smoother picture than the interlaced version.

We film your wedding using HDV 1080i Sony Video Cameras for excellent quality. We then edit your wedding video in High Definition and then convert it to Standard definition for DVD (if you just have a normal DVD player) play back or transfer it to Blu-ray HD DVD (if you have a blu-ray player or Playstation 3) for viewing.

Let us know if you would like to order your HD Wedding Video or Blu-ray wedding Video by calling us on 01509 505438.

Why have a wedding Film

Why have a wedding Video?

Let’s face it a Wedding Video is a Luxury item when it comes to a wedding. However, having a professional wedding Video made has so many benefits. Bride and Grooms literally spend thousands of pounds picking professional photographers, professional florists, wedding cars, venues, wedding cakes and food and often it’s the wedding video that pretty much comes last. So should you have a wedding video and is it worth the additional cost? I think absolutely yes!! The reason I think wedding videos and wedding films are worth investing in is because a professional wedding video is the only service that will bring everything together and show you a real overview of your day. It’s not just about capturing smiles like photography often does, but it’s about capturing the very essence of the Bride and Groom and showing their personality and characters through the captured images. A wedding film is about telling someones story  and creating something that shows the detail and emotion of your day and bring’s your memories back to life each time you watch your wedding film.

Please give us a call on 01509 505438 if you have any questions about why you should have a wedding film. We would love to chat to you (we don’t bite) about your day and help with any advice you may require. Our particular approach to wedding films will put you at ease because we are discreet at all times (have a look at our testimonials page) and film you very naturally with minimum disturbance to your day.

Anyway, have a look at some of my wedding videos and films and see for yourself. Gone are the days of cheesy shaky wedding films and in are the days of stunning cinematic wedding video.

Pyromusical Display

Here is another Pyromusical fireworks display I filmed for Komodo Fireworks recently filmed on Bonfire Night in Wolverhampton where 20,000 spectators enjoyed a fantastic display. Beautiful Life is filming various events for Komodo Fireworks so that we can create a promotional video for their potential clients. The original display was over 20 mins and so I have cut it down to just 8 mins. The video starts part way through the Pyromusical.

Jewish wedding Film

Roughly 30% of my wedding videos are now made up of Jewish, Sikh, Greek, Hindu, Muslim and Asian weddings. The rest are Church and Civil weddings in Hotels, converted Barns and beautiful Castles throughout the UK. I love the variety of weddings I film as it means that each one is completely unique and the challenges are always different.  Each Cinematic Wedding Film I produce tells a story by capturing the naturalness of each couple through a “Fly-on-the-wall” approach.

Jewish Wedding Video

A few months ago I filmed a Jewish Wedding in Manchester and have just finished the final edit. The wedding Ceremony took place in the Synagogue under a Chuppah which is a Canopy on four poles which the Bride, Groom, Parents and Priests all stand under. The Chuppah symbolises the home the couple will build together and the hospitality they will provide for their guests and represents the presence of God over the covenant of marriage.

This looked really beautiful but was very challenging to film under as I only had tiny gaps to point my camera through. There was very little space due to all the people who had to fit under and so me and the photographer had very limited for space. For this I used two cameras so that I could move one when someone stood in the way and to ensure that I had the wedding ceremony covered as best I could. This gives the ceremony a real close, intimate look and some of the shots I got were really beautiful. The rest of the day fro preparations to the first dance were great to film as there was so much happening. The hard part is always editing the footage down into a Cinematic Jewish Wedding Video that the whole family can enjoy watching time and time again.

Cinematic Wedding Film

The finished Video looks amazing and lasts just under 2 hours including speeches and dancing. This would be far too much to upload and so I have condensed the Highlights into 3:30 minutes mini cinematic montage. This gives a great overview of the day but just shows the highlights of the Jewish Wedding Film. The wedding video includes the Badekan ceremony, Tish, breaking the Glass and Chair dancing.

Wedding Video, Wedding Film, Wedding DVD throughout London, Manchester, Birmingham, Leicester, Derby, Nottingham and covering the UK.

Jewish Wedding Video

I love weddings that keep me on my toes and Jewish weddings are no exception. A few months ago I had the privilege of filming a Jewish wedding in Manchester with just a few days notice. Filming a Jewish wedding is very different to filming a Civil wedding as there are so many intricate parts to the day so experience is always important in knowing where to be at what time.

There was so much energy to the day and I am thoroughly  enjoying the many hours editing this wedding is taking. There is so much footage and the difficult part is editing it all down into a watchable film for the whole family to enjoy. This will make an amazing Jewish Wedding Video. It was great to meet the family and get to know everyone and since the wedding I have worked with the family on a corporate project and so feel as I have got to know them pretty well.

Jewish Wedding Film Highlights

I have now started the task of editing, colour grading/enhancing their Jewish Wedding Film which takes many hours to complete. Below is the first part of the Wedding DVD which covers the Bridal Preparations to the Tish. The Tish is the accompaniment whisky and Singing by the Groom and as many male Guests as possible (Chatan in Hebrew, Chossen in Yiddish). The idea is the toasting, giving and receiving of last-minute advice, followed by drinking and more singing before the wedding ceremony.

If you would like to contact Beautiful Life about a Jewish wedding Video then please give us a call.
We are experienced at filming many types of weddings and ceremonies and provide professional couples a
stylish Cinematic Wedding Film approach to a Jewish Weddings. Call us to book a wedding videographer to cover your day.

A big thank you to Dave Nunn – Staffordshire Wedding Photographers for recommending me to the family.

Filming School Play

Brooke House Day School Christmas Play Filming

It was fantastic to be back at Brooke House Day School, Leicestershire this year to Film their Christmas Play. The younger Children performed A Nativity Play and the older children performed Oliver. So much effort went into getting the right atmosphere and the scenery and setting were fantastic. It was a bit touch and go at one stage as the generator packed in – but to everyones relief it was back up and running again before long.

It is always a real privilege to to film on behalf of parents so that they can have a beautiful memento on DVD or HD Blu-ray which will bring back beautiful memories in years to come. Unfortunately I can’t share any video on this due to Child Protection Issues – but it was a great night.
