The two main topics from the BMF Members day were the economy and the Green Deal. Dr Andrew Sentence spoke about how the recovery is shaping up and what it means for the industry in the short term. David Purvey looked at the Green Deal and discussed regulations for merchants and their customers. This was followed by workshops with the chance to debate and discuss ideas and experiences. I really enjoyed this filming the BMF Members day and here is the Podcast from the event.

What a beautiful day!! The sun was shining and it was a stunning autumn day as potential bride and grooms queued at the door over an hour early to get in. There was a real excitement about this venue. But who can blame them, surrounded by english countryside, lakes, parkland and Bramley apple orchards, Norwood Park is the ideal wedding venue for any couple wishing to have the perfect day. As a wedding videographer I loved this place!! There were some fantastic suppliers at the  Norwood Park Weddings Fair. Cakes, cars, jewellery, photography, chocolate fountains, more photographers and my personal favourite – hand made wedding chocolate demonstrations. But I do love chocolate!! So to taste what I have been filming is always nice!! The wedding Fair was pretty busy for most of the day and overall I think it was a real success as brides kept flooding in!! Well done Sue!! Back in November I travelled to Southampton to film the bonfire night firework display on behalf of Komodo Fireworks. Earlier in the day I filmed the setup as the Komodo crew got everything ready for the big show. An incredible amount of fireworks, cables and attention to detail was needed to ensure everything went perfectly and that the show went according to plan. This web video is a great glimpse behind the scenes and shows just how much effort goes into setting up a professional firework display. This video will be added to their corporate promotional DVD, alongside all the other Fireworks Videos Beautiful Life have filmed for them over the last few years. Also a big congratulations to Komodo who have been invited to compete in the 2011 British Musical Fireworks Championships at Southport later in the year. They’ve worked hard over the past few years and I’ve loved the opportunity to film their shows and magnificent displays!!

Had a great night in Wolverhampton City Centre last night filming on behalf of Komodo Fireworks. I was filming the spectacular firework display which followed the Christmas Lights Switch-on. The Firework display was launched from the rooftop of House of Fraser (Beatties). Beacon Radio hosted the event and Father Christmas appeared with his reindeers and Peppa pig and a few panto stars made an appearance.  However, the highlight of the night was the amazing firework display that Komodo produced!! They just get better and better!! The light was bouncing off the buildings and the crowd were amazed at the sight of Komodo Fireworks painting the sky!! And this was no ordinary firework display as it was a pyromusical and synced to a christmas song which I am sure will get you in the mood for Christmas. The finished fireworks video will be used as a promotional video on their new blog and as a new addition to the promotional DVD I produced for them earlier in the year. Enjoy!!

Beautiful Life were invited by Komodo Fireworks to film Southampton Docks main Firework display. The day started early filming Komodo’s team as they rigged and prepped the fireworks on the barge ready for the evenings display at Mayflower Park. I’ve filmed a number of displays for Komodo in the past but the scale of this was big. The main event was organised by The Round Table on behalf of Charities across Hampshire. Thousands of spectators turned up on the night and were amazed by the fantastic display by Komodo which lit up Southampton’s Sky. I filmed the Fireworks from the Penthouse of the DeVere Grand Harbour Hotel which gave a spectacular view of the docks. I love the introduction to this video with the traffic streaming in and thought it made a great opener. The video will be added to Komodo Fireworks ever evolving DVD which I produced for them earlier in the year.

And what a venue!! With it’s magnificent grounds, fabulous bedrooms and stunning rooms Stubton Hall is the perfect wedding venue. This was one of the busiest wedding fairs I have seen in a while with suppliers offering ways to make your wedding day that little bit more special. Wedding photographers, Wedding cars, fine wines, chocolate fountains, wedding videos and lots of other great ideas to give you your dream wedding day.

It’s been a very busy week filming in Northampton, Cheshire and Sheffield. I filmed a stunning Hindu Wedding on Thursday, a Civil Hindu/Yugoslavian wedding at Kelmarsh Hall on Friday, and an English wedding at Tatton Park on Saturday. Today I filmed a Promotional Video in Sheffield at Whirlowbrook Hall Wedding Fayre on behalf of White Media. I had a fab day meeting lots of different suppliers and after travelling home I managed to finish the Promotional Video for White Media. Enjoy!!

It was great last night filming a Pyromusical display on behalf of Komodo Fireworks at Stapleford Park Country House Hotel. Komodo Fireworks produce some of the most spectacular displays I have ever seen and I was at Stapleford Park to film Komodo’s handy work. I drove across a very bumpy field in the pitch black (which was fun) and parked next to a spooky forest and managed to set up my two cameras. It’s times like these when you wish you had gone easy on the horror movies as a teenager!! But with Stapleford Park Country House in the background Rob and his team managed to light up the sky with another awesome Pyromusical firework display. As it got darker the sky looked amazing so I created a timelapse of the clouds moving over the venue and made a great little intro for the video.

Over the last 12 months I have been filming various displays as part of an ongoing/developing Promotional DVD made especially for promoting their shows and products. Anyway, Enjoy!!

I started the day a little differently than normal as I was asked by Sarah at Tillyboo Events to Film them in action as they went about transforming the Wedding Breakfast Room and Ceremony Room at the Venue. The Tillyboo Events Team did an amazing job and filming them setting up made me appreciate the creativity and attention to detail that Tillyboo Events brings to a Wedding Day. Sarah and her team did a fantastic job and it was a privilege to film and produce this short Promotional Video for their Website.
