It was nice to be back at the Marriott Forest of Arden Hotel in Warwickshire filming a corporate video for the BMF Members day. The two main topics from the BMF Members day were the economy and the Green Deal. Dr Andrew Sentence spoke about how the recovery is shaping up and what it means for the industry in the short term. David Purvey looked at the Green Deal and discussed regulations for merchants and their customers. This was followed by workshops with the chance to debate and discuss ideas and experiences. Yesterday I filmed a promotional video at the lovely Norwood Park Weddings fair in Nottinghamshire on behalf of Sue at White Media. What a beautiful day!! The sun was shining and it was a stunning autumn day as potential bride and grooms queued at the door over an hour early to get in. There was a real excitement about this venue. But who can blame them, surrounded by english countryside, lakes, parkland and Bramley apple orchards, Norwood Park is the ideal wedding venue for any couple wishing to have the perfect day. As a wedding videographer I loved this place!! There were some fantastic suppliers at the Norwood Park Weddings Fair. Cakes, cars, jewellery, photography, chocolate fountains, more photographers and my personal favourite – hand made wedding chocolate demonstrations. But I do love chocolate!! So to taste what I have been filming is always nice!! The wedding Fair was pretty busy for most of the day and overall I think it was a real success as brides kept flooding in!! Well done Sue!! For me event videography is one of the most rewarding things I do. As a videographer I love any opportunity to film social and corporate events. So I was really excited when Dave from Sinvision asked me if I would film with him and his team at the 2011 Victory Show, Cosby in Leicestershire!! The Victory Show was held over two days and included historical re-enactments from the 1940′s which were so realistic that it made you feel like you had been transported back in time!!
However, the highlight of the day had to be filming the World War II reenactment!! This happened later in the day after a safety briefing about how to keep my arms and legs attached whilst running across a field with rigged with explosives. I was filming the american infantry as they advanced forward towards the germans which I was so looking forward to. Before I knew it I was in a truck and heading with the rest of the convoy across a large field towards the germans. Once there we jumped out and soon I was in the thick of it running like a madman across a field with haystacks on fire, loud explosions and machine guns going off all around us. There was so much to film and the next 15 mins went so quickly!! It was incredible!! I don’t think I have ever felt so out of breath after filming!! What a privilege!! This is what I love about event Videography!!

As wedding videographers and wedding photographers we get to meet some interesting wedding suppliers. Every now and then we come across a company who adds something really different to the day. Last wednesday I was at Southwood Hall, Cantley in Norfolkfilming a wedding and met a fantastic catering company called “The proper Pizza Co.” They were cooking the most delicious pizza’s I have ever tasted on a wood fire!! They really were delicious!! These guys added something really special to the day and the Bride, Groom and their guests looked like they were enjoying every mouthful. As well as wedding videos, I love to also promote wedding suppliers who are a little different and the best at what they do. So thought I would just put a little video together for all those planning weddings as these guys were fantastic and offer a great experience!!
