You may remember Krishna and Pras from their Civil Wedding photos a few weeks ago, now its time for their gorgeous Hindu Wedding at Goosedale  in Nottinghamshire.  When you do as many different sorts of weddings as we do you get used to the unexpected and new experiences but nothing could prepare me for weather induced brain freeze, that was a first!  The ceremony room at Goosedale looked like a spring day all decorated in Fushia and Lime with one of the prettiest Mandaps I’ve seen.  Outside was a different story altogether!  When I followed Krishna’s Mum out to the car to bring in the Groom  the wind was blowing the rain sideways and it was freezing, I so wished I’d kept my coat on!  When Krishna arrived at Goosedale I thought she might be a bit gutted with the weather but she was great, she just laughed and with her usual smile said ‘not the weather we ordered but hey’.  It was a fantastic day, as i watched the tables being decorated and families arriving in their coordinating outfits, the atmosphere was building with everyone gathered together talking and laughing, then the singing started and the dohl drummer started to play and your off, next thing you know your waving them off in the car at the end of the day.  Congratulations Krishna and Pras I hope you have a brilliant life together.  Thanks for looking after megan and I and being so lovely and fun to work with, I just loved your Indian wedding, hope you enjoy the pictures.  Thanks also to Kay from Jush events for some delicious food and most of all for co-ordinating all those group pictures flawlessly, we even made up time!

A FEW THOUGHTS FROM Krishna & Pras

Q1) What were your favourite parts of your wedding day?
Bride: For me it was seeing Pras, and finally being together after several days apart. It was nice knowing that we would end the day finally being Man and Wife after months and months of planning.Groom: Definitely when I saw Krishna for the first time on the day,  as we had not been in contact or seen each other for several days. The speeches given by our close family and friends were brilliant, I really enjoyed hearing everything they had to say. And of course the constant heavy rain…perfect!

Q2) What do you love about being married?
Bride: I love knowing that Pras is always around. Its the simplest of things, like knowing that he’ll be there when I come home everyday that I love.

Groom: Its lovely that we are spending everyday together, and that I have someone special to share all my moments with.

Q3) Tell us about Goosedale and why you chose to get married there?
From the moment we first walked into the venue, we knew it would really bring our vision together. It is a really intimate suite,  and we were confident that we could work our vivid colours into the neutral background of the marquee. It was exactly what we had in mind.

Q4) What advice do you have for future brides and grooms when planning their wedding?
Bride: It really is important to plan and organise. I found that nothing could be done too far in advance as time does fly past. I also think its good idea to make your wedding day a joint venture.

Groom: Start early, there really isnt ever enough time. My key advice would be to share your ideas and communicate thoroughly – remember, it’s your one special day!

Q5) Why did you choose Beautiful Life to photograph your wedding day?
We were both amazed by Beautiful Life’s previous work. We loved the way Joy manages to capture the ideal moments that grasp the essence of the occasion. Joy’s photographs are almost fly on the wall, they are completely natural and thats just what we wanted. It was lovely to hear her ideas…it was a joy to work with Joy…no pun intended.
