Yesterday I filmed a promotional video at the lovely Norwood Park Weddings fair in Nottinghamshire on behalf of Sue at White Media. What a beautiful day!! The sun was shining and it was a stunning autumn day as potential bride and grooms queued at the door over an hour early to get in. There was a real excitement about this venue. But who can blame them, surrounded by english countryside, lakes, parkland and Bramley apple orchards, Norwood Park is the ideal wedding venue for any couple wishing to have the perfect day. As a wedding videographer I loved this place!! There were some fantastic suppliers at the Norwood Park Weddings Fair. Cakes, cars, jewellery, photography, chocolate fountains, more photographers and my personal favourite – hand made wedding chocolate demonstrations. But I do love chocolate!! So to taste what I have been filming is always nice!! The wedding Fair was pretty busy for most of the day and overall I think it was a real success as brides kept flooding in!! Well done Sue!! As wedding videographers and wedding photographers we get to meet some interesting wedding suppliers. Every now and then we come across a company who adds something really different to the day. Last wednesday I was at Southwood Hall, Cantley in Norfolkfilming a wedding and met a fantastic catering company called “The proper Pizza Co.” They were cooking the most delicious pizza’s I have ever tasted on a wood fire!! They really were delicious!! These guys added something really special to the day and the Bride, Groom and their guests looked like they were enjoying every mouthful. As well as wedding videos, I love to also promote wedding suppliers who are a little different and the best at what they do. So thought I would just put a little video together for all those planning weddings as these guys were fantastic and offer a great experience!! After queueing for over an hour to get into the 2011 Belvoir Castle Firework Champions we finally unloaded our gear, dragged it up a very steep hill, got the flask out, watched the sun set and got ready for some amazing fireworks. As an events Filmmaker I really love my job!! Belvoir Castle is the perfect venue for any wedding photographer or wedding videographer but this evening it had opened it’s beautiful surroundings to 10,000 spectators who had gathered to see this amazing show. There were 3 of the UK’s best firework companies competing against each other in a 10 minute pyromusical choreographed to music. I was filming on behalf of Komodo Fireworks who were up 2nd and their Pyromusical Fireworks display was outstanding and by far the best of the night. I wasn’t surprised when they stole the show with over 75% of the votes. I film a lot for these guys and know how much effort and passion they put into their work and so a big congratulations to the team as they deserved to win!! Well done!! Thrumpton Hall in Nottingham is a fantastic wedding venue. I have filmed both English and Asian Weddings there and always love the opportunity to go back. Thrumpton Hall and it’s amazing 350 acre park is the perfect backdrop for any wedding videographer or wedding photographer to capture some stunning imagery. So I was delighted when Thrumpton Hall asked me to come and film a wedding on their behalf as they wanted a short wedding video which they could use on their website to give bride and grooms an idea of what a Thrumpton Hall Wedding would be like.
