Today we have Natalie and Dan’s Wedding Video highlights. This was probably one of my favourite weddings ever, Natalie and Dan were really fun to work with and Dan owns lots of trucks so it was bound to be great! It was a really lovely wedding with lots of personal touches. The pace was nice and relaxed giving us lots of time to be creative and capture all the detail. We arrived at the Brides nice and early and got to work capturing all the action and Natalie in her rollers! After the bridal preparations we headed to St Michael & All Angels Church in Croston, Leyland for the wedding ceremony. Just a few days earlier the street outside the church had been flooded due to the bad weather but all was well on the day. Dan arrived in style in one of his trucks and before long Dan & Natalie were married and heading back down the aisle. Waiting for them just around the corner was a big green tractor to take them to their wedding reception. They climbed aboard the trailer, complete with sofa and champagne (no roof though!) it was awesome! After a quick shower they arrived at the reception and the party got underway. The Pickled Walnut Catering Company served an amazing meal and everyone had had a great evening on the dance floor. I had been waiting all day for it to go dark so we could head outside and film the couple with all the trucks. We switched all the lights on and shot some fab stuff, it was a great way to end their wedding video. It was really nice to work with wedding photographers Pete and Laura who are amazing and also a big thank you to Tom for carrying gear for me all day. Anyway, enjoy!
Here are a few thoughts from the Bride and Groom
Q1) Tell us about your wedding day?
Bride: For me the whole day from start to finish was way more than how I had pictured it to be! I expected to be hugely nervous and to my surprise I wasn’t! The weather wasn’t the best but it in no way shape or form did it make any difference to the day, plus it’s said to be good luck! The pure enjoyment had by all, was what I dreamt my ‘big day’ would be like. A day we would relive time and time again given the chance!
Groom: well, I was not nervous one bit until I saw my bride walking towards me! Once her hand was in mine, the nerves disappeared in an instant! At the reception the speeches, food, staff were all brilliant and everyone seemed as happy as I was! The night time atmosphere was out of this world hence the 5am finish!!!
Q2: What were your favourite parts of the day?
Bride: there are too many parts of the day that were special to list but seeing the sheer proudness on my dad’s face as he saw me walking towards him in my dress for the first time! It’s not often I have seen my dad upset in the past but he sure was on this day! Then to see Dan’s at the church with the same expression…. these are images I will never ever forget!
Groom: I was just made up how happy everyone was seeing me and nat together. June 30th is my favourite ‘day’
Q3) What do you love about being married?
Bride: We are one, we are complete!
Groom: Ditto!!!
Q4) What advice do you have for future brides and grooms when planning their wedding?
Bride: Be organised and if possible take the week leading up to your wedding off work! I did this and my sister did also, and I do not regret it, everyone commented on how calm I was right up to the night before the wedding, this is because I set myself jobs everyday that week and together with the help of my sister, mum, mother in law and friends we ticked off the jobs and had Friday night to be pampered whilst drinking Moet! Perfect!
Groom: Just keep saying ‘yes’ darling!!!!! Ha ha!
Q5) Why did you choose Beautiful Life to capture your wedding video?
We searched various wedding videographers and we felt that beautiful life gave a more intimate style, where many others were too commercialised. When Shaun and his assistant arrived on the morning of our wedding, I was instantly put at ease and this continuing throughout our day was lovely. I didn’t want an intrusive approach to capturing our wedding day. For us beautiful life couldn’t of handled their filming any better, I wanted all the fun, enjoyment and emotion catching naturally. It was a plus that they had previously worked together with our husband and wife photographer team too!
