Its been a while since I’ve done a Newborn Photography shoot as it’s been weddings all the way for the past six months. It was lovely to go and visit this brand new family and meet another tiny baby, always amazing! A friend booked a newborn shoot with us as a present for Jack’s mummy and daddy, I have to say if you are even thinking of having a Newborn Photography session book early as I have had to turn away so many clients recently because there’s been no room in the diary. The window of opportunity is very short for these kind of photography sessions. Newborn shoots have to be done in the first week of life if you want those real sleepy curled up ‘brand new baby’ shots. When I arrived Jack was wide awake, Grandma had arrived for her first visit and then I turned up with blankets and buckets etc, all too exciting, he wasn’t going to miss a moment! After a while and lots of rocking from an experienced Grandma he returned to the land of nod ready for his pictures. Couldn’t resist trying out my new fluffy elf hat, it is nearly winter after all! I think my favourite images from a newborn session are always the pictures of mum with her baby, they are just so special. Some mums don’t want to be in any pictures, understandable after 24 hours of labour and a few days of zero sleep but if you can face it then I’d say do have those shots, it’s such an amazing moment in time that can never be repeated. Congratulations Caz and Tim, little Jack is beautiful I’m sure you’ll all agree!
