My daughter Charis’s 4th Birthday Video

Today is an exciting day as my daughter Charis is 4 years old. She has been singing happy birthday to herself for the last 2 weeks and woke up nice and early this morning with big expectations. All she wanted for her Birthday was a lollipop!!! What a great age!!! Anyway, I videoed the mornings events, transferred it to my mac and quickly put this little film together in about 30 mins and thought I would just share it on my blog.

What I love about video is how you can tell a story and keep the most special moments alive forever. This video is priceless!!! Enjoy!!!

Shaun that is a fab idea. I think there are treasured moments in life we wish we could capture and before you know it it is all over. A child’s first days at school, mother and child go through so many different emotions, going for a scan and capturing the first heartbeat. I think there is so much out there you could do. These would make amazing gifts for family who are further away as well.

Thank’s Samantha. Your right these moments are so important. Time goes so fast. Can’t believe my kids are growing up so fast. I am thinking through the option of adding small memento videos to the services I provide but need to think about this a little more. Where I would discreetly film either for an hour or for a day with a family (fly on the wall) and provide them with a short film. Been thinking this through for sometime now as I have had a few families ask me if I could do something similar for them.

Just saw this on your page whilst watching our wedding clip for the 30th time
This just captures so much, you have these amazing videos to hold on to, I am going to make sure we have a video camera before we start a family. With Joy’s beautiful photos and this clip it just makes you realise that you have to capture these moments and hold onto them.

This is a precious piece of video. Only a few minutes long but you made me laugh and cry even in that space of time. Beautiful!

Thanks for the comment. Time does fly and we miss those special moments if we’re not careful which is why I love my job. The tiny bits of detail that are often forgotten are so important years down the line.

This is GORGEOUS and you have made me resolve to sort out my video camera tonight – I haven’t used it for a year now as all the tapes are full up and we also lent it out for a bit – how ridiculous is that? But you’ve reminded me how important it is to get this stuff sorted while our kids are still little!

Not that it will look anywhere near as good as this work of art, but thankyou for the inspiration :) xx
