Wedding Trailer | Whatton House and Gardens

Today I have Amy and Matthews wedding trailer to share with you. They were a lovely couple to work with and the day started with me in Nottingham filming the Bridal preparations. Great light, nice relaxed bride and bridesmaids and then off to St Andrews Church in Kegworth, Leicestershire which is just a few minutes away from my home to film the ceremony. As a wedding videographer I don’t often I get the opportunity to film locally as so many of my weddings are much further away. The Vicar at St Andrews Church was fantastic and an absolute pleasure to work with. She made it so easy for me and the photographer to capture the ceremony. Afterwards we headed off to Whatton House and Gardens – great wedding venue!! Love the gardens, colour and space to explore!! All great for helping us wedding videographers and wedding photographers to get some great images – as you will see in their wedding trailer!!

Indian Wedding Video | Kelham Hall Weddings | Sunita & Ravinder

As event filmmakers and photographers both Joy and me love Indian weddings!! We love the colours, details, food, music – in fact it’s safe to say we love everything about Hindu weddings!! Which is a good thing as we now do so many of them. Over the last few weeks Joy has added lots of wedding photos from Sunita & Ravi’s Indian engagement, Sangeet, Indian wedding day and wedding reception. A few weeks ago I posted their engagement video and today i’m going to share their Indian Wedding Video highlights from Kelham Hall and I have to say I am loving this video!!

The day started with everyone arriving nearly two hours late after being stuck in some serious traffic!! But eventually the groom and guests arrived and everything got underway. After the “tying of the Sehra” (a ceremony where the grooms sisters tie a veil of pearls over his face) the groom climbed onto an Asian White wedding horse named Rachel!! Everyone danced around the horse as Ravinder made his way towards Kelham Hall to greet the brides family and then headed into Kelham Hall for a bite to eat. The food was made by the lovely Jush Events (nice to work with you guys again and love your food so much!!). The mandap was stunning and the room was lit perfectly – which makes it so much easier for us videographers and photographers. Sunita made a stunning entrance and I loved the moment when they both saw each other for the first time once the veil had been lowered. The rest of the day was so beautiful, but enough from me and here is their Indian Wedding Video highlights from their big day!! Enjoy!!

Peckforton Castle Weddings | Asha & Brian

A little while back Asha & Brian called me all the way from Dallas in the USA and asked to book us to film their wedding at Peckforton Castle in Cheshire. I was really looking forward to filming their wedding as it’s a stunning venue for wedding photography and videography. And with guests travelling in from all over the world, including the USA and India, it was the perfect backdrop for their day. After the bride and groom preparations they had a “Humanist Ceremony” in the castles Hexagonal room followed by a fantastic bride and groom time with the wedding photographers in the woods where the light was just amazing!! The wedding breakfast and the speeches were great and later that night Asha threw her bouquet which was followed by their first dance. A few thoughts from Asha & Brian

1) Why did you want to get married in a castle in the UK? We wanted to get married at “home” and the venue was suggested to us by a family friend who also got married there, and its a castle, come on!
2) What was unique about your wedding? Our wedding was unique because we had guests from all over the world, India, all over the US
3) What was your favourite part of your day? Our favorite part of our wedding was our ceremony, we had lovely readings and a friend sang Adele “Make You Feel My Love”
4) What do you love about being married? We love being married. the end.
5) Why did you choose Beautiful Life to film your day? I honestly chose beautiful life photography because of your professional looking website, videos, and feel I got from it. Planning a wedding across the sea took alot of trusting my gut about vendors.
6) Any advice for future bride and grooms? My advice for future brides and grooms would be to relax! everything will turn out beautifully and also to not try to please everybody! its not possible.

Ian & Kate ❘ Moxhull Hall Wedding Film

Ian and Kate were such a great couple to work with and it was a real privilege capture their wedding film for them. The day started with filming the bridal preparations followed by their wedding at the beautiful Birmingham Oratory Church in Edgbaston. Just before the ceremony Ian’s dad took ill and an ambulance was called to take him to hospital but thankfully he recovered and joined us later in the day. The wedding ceremony was great and I love the moment in the wedding video where Ian and Kate see each other for the first time that day. After exchanging vows and signing the register they left the Birmingham Oratory and headed for Moxhull Hall for the rest of the day. It was a freezing day and so the wedding photos at Moxhull Hall were mainly inside due to the snow. Later in the day they popped their wellies on and went out into the snow with photographers Dave and Emma from Dave Nunn Studios who are good friends of mine and had some more photos. After the cutting of the cake and first dance the day finished with Ian playing the guitar with his band. Thanks once again for making me feel so welcome and here is a coming soon clip for their wedding dvd.

Q1) What was the favourite parts of your big day?
Seeing Kate at the altar for the first time, the priest whispering “you’re married now”, the first dance when it felt like no-one else was there.

Q2) What do you love about being married?
Having a future to plan and fight for, waking up every morning with my gorgeous life partner, being a part of a permanent team.

Q3) Why did you want a wedding film of your day?
To show to our kids, to re-live the day again and again, to capture our family.

Q4) Any advice for future bride and grooms?
DO IT!

Cheshire Wedding Video

We had a fantastic day with James and Victoria. I started filming Bridal preparations at Victoria’s house whilst steve my other Videographer was with the Groom as they got ready. The Bride and Bridesmaids were extremely relaxed which was a great start to the day and always makes our job so much easier. We love to stay in the background capturing the emotion and laughter as it naturally unfolds. As storytellers we prefer working this way as it always makes for a far more interesting wedding video.

Once the preparations had finished we quickly packed up and set off to the Holy Angels Catholic Church in Hale Barns, Cheshire followed by the Tatton Park wedding reception. Tatton Park Mansion is set in 1,000 acres of Cheshire countryside and is the perfect venue for any wedding photographer or wedding videographer to capture some stunning shots. From the venue to the entertainment, this was a fantastic day to film. Anyway, here’s part of the wedding dvd covering the Bride and Grooms preparations. Philip and Rachel’s Wedding

Last year I filmed Liane and Adam’s wedding near Windsor and was thrilled to be back again in June filming her sister Rachel’s wedding. The day started at Rachel’s parents house with Bridal Preparations. It was a beautiful sunny day and everything felt very calm as I arrived. Once the Bridal preparations had finished I set off to All Saints Church in Laleham where Rachel and Philip had a lovely ceremony. The wedding reception took place at Stoke Palace Hotel where the rest of the day seemed to fly by. Here’s the first part of their wedding video covering the Bridal preparations and I hope to upload some more of their wedding video if I get time before Christmas.

Here’s another Rowton Castle Wedding!! We had a fantastic time capturing Sarah and Richards wedding video and photography at Rowton Castle in Shrewsbury, Shropshire . We had pretty good weather all day, a beautiful 17th century castle and some fantastic grounds surrounding Rowton Castle and a lovely couple to work with. Rowton Castle was is a fantastic place to have a wedding and certainly provides some great opportunities for wedding video and wedding photography. Both Joy and myself loved our time at Rowton Castle and wish Sarah and Richard all the best in their future together.

Chinese-Hindu Wedding Video

This year I have filmed an increasing number of mixed cultural marriages. In the last few months this has included a Hindu-Yugoslavian Wedding, a Chinese-Sikh Wedding and a Persian-Chinese Wedding. As a wedding videographer I love the coming together of these weddings as mixed cultural marriages are just so fresh and vibrant to capture. The colours, the attire and the way families both families embrace one another. BoSan and Dharmesh’s Chinese-Hindu Wedding took place at the lovely Woburn Abbey Sculpture Gallery in Milton Keynes, Bedfordshire. It was an fast moving day comprising of Chinese Games, Civil wedding ceremony, a Hindu wedding ceremony, Chinese Tea ceremony, Chinese lion dancing and so much more. Traditionally Chinese Brides change outfits several times throughout the day. Historically some changed up to 30 times in one wedding but modern brides usually opt for 2-4 changes. BoSan changed 4 times and looked stunning each and everytime as you will see throughout their wedding video.

BoSan and Dharmesh requested a mini-highlights version of their wedding video to share with relatives whilst visiting Hong Kong. So here it is and hope you guys have a great time in Hong Kong and congratulations and best wishes to you both.

Indian Dhol Drummers – Bride and Groom Entrance

A fantastic entrance with Indian Dhol Drummers leading the way at Bhupinder and Sukjit’s wedding. This Sikh wedding video was filmed at the Bedford Corn Exchange, Bedfordshire which was beautifully decorated. The drummers were great as they made their way through the guests to the front of the room ready for the Bride and Grooms cutting of the cake. This takes a lot of skill but these guys were absolute pros!! The Dohl is a two sided drum (has it’s roots in the province of Punjab) and is used for special occasions of celebration such as weddings. Enjoy!!

Video and Photography

The Spring and Summer of 2010 has been a record year for us. My wife and I have both been flat out with more weddings and events than we could have imagined. It’s been the year of variety with english, jewish, chinese, greek, hindu, muslim, assyrian, pakistani, persian, sikh, bengali and Turkish weddings being covered. I love the fact that we now offer a Video and Photography service and love working with my wife Joy because her approach to Photography is the same as my approach to videography as we both love natural imagery. This summer has been especially demanding with some weeks having 3-4 weddings at various ends of the country needing coverage. Many of the weddings we cover require 10-15 hours of filming and photography, plus travel time which is physically exhausting!! So on Thursday we’ll be flying off on our jolly holidays to the Canaries with our two overly excited little girls (going to tell them the day before next time) for a good rest and fun. On our return we have a mountain of wedding video editing and wedding photography to get through. We also have a busy September and an even busier October!! And its looking like things are going to get even crazier next year!! So keep popping back to our blog as many more pics and vids will be posted here in the next few months.
