Wedding Trailer | Whatton House and Gardens

Today I have Amy and Matthews wedding trailer to share with you. They were a lovely couple to work with and the day started with me in Nottingham filming the Bridal preparations. Great light, nice relaxed bride and bridesmaids and then off to St Andrews Church in Kegworth, Leicestershire which is just a few minutes away from my home to film the ceremony. As a wedding videographer I don’t often I get the opportunity to film locally as so many of my weddings are much further away. The Vicar at St Andrews Church was fantastic and an absolute pleasure to work with. She made it so easy for me and the photographer to capture the ceremony. Afterwards we headed off to Whatton House and Gardens – great wedding venue!! Love the gardens, colour and space to explore!! All great for helping us wedding videographers and wedding photographers to get some great images – as you will see in their wedding trailer!!

Kelmarsh Hall Weddings | Serena & Ivan

Kelmarsh Hall is a romantic 18th Century house set in the Northamptonshire countryside and was the perfect venue for Serena & Ivan’s wedding day. The light was perfect, the weather was great and the gardens and surroundings were perfect for us wedding photographers and wedding videographers to capture some lovely imagery. Shortly after the guests arrived they had their civil ceremony in the main room and after the signing of the register made their way down to the lawn at the back of the house for their wedding reception. With home made Raki, traditional Serbian dancing and a fantastic accordion player they all soon got into the swing of things. The day then finished with the cutting of the cake and instead of a first dance they had a “First Drink” of Taquila. Fantastic day!! Fantastic couple and here are their wedding video highlights.

A FEW THOUGHTS FROM SERENA & IVAN

Q1) What was the favourite parts of your big day?
Seeing Serena walk down the aisle. She took my breath away. And the speeches. They were quite simply the best. Hilarious, emotional wonderful stories. We had our wedding spread over 2 days and it was just a wonderful time to share with all our loved ones.

Q2) What do you love about being married?
Getting my ironing done. Only now that we are married will Serena do mine.

Q3) Why did you want a wedding film of your day?
Just as a really nice way of remembering the day.

Q4) Any advice for future bride and grooms?
Trust your gut. We didn’t really have a pattern or a tradition to follow and we very much wanted to make our own identity stand out. It was great to see it all come together so well but there were no guarantees. I guess sometimes you just have to go for it and hope for the best. We certainly did.

Peckforton Castle Weddings | Asha & Brian

A little while back Asha & Brian called me all the way from Dallas in the USA and asked to book us to film their wedding at Peckforton Castle in Cheshire. I was really looking forward to filming their wedding as it’s a stunning venue for wedding photography and videography. And with guests travelling in from all over the world, including the USA and India, it was the perfect backdrop for their day. After the bride and groom preparations they had a “Humanist Ceremony” in the castles Hexagonal room followed by a fantastic bride and groom time with the wedding photographers in the woods where the light was just amazing!! The wedding breakfast and the speeches were great and later that night Asha threw her bouquet which was followed by their first dance. A few thoughts from Asha & Brian

1) Why did you want to get married in a castle in the UK? We wanted to get married at “home” and the venue was suggested to us by a family friend who also got married there, and its a castle, come on!
2) What was unique about your wedding? Our wedding was unique because we had guests from all over the world, India, all over the US
3) What was your favourite part of your day? Our favorite part of our wedding was our ceremony, we had lovely readings and a friend sang Adele “Make You Feel My Love”
4) What do you love about being married? We love being married. the end.
5) Why did you choose Beautiful Life to film your day? I honestly chose beautiful life photography because of your professional looking website, videos, and feel I got from it. Planning a wedding across the sea took alot of trusting my gut about vendors.
6) Any advice for future bride and grooms? My advice for future brides and grooms would be to relax! everything will turn out beautifully and also to not try to please everybody! its not possible.

Kiran & Bela’s Hindu Wedding Video | Highlights

The day started at 5:00am in London with Dan filming Kiran’s wedding day preparations. Meanwhile Joy and I were 213 miles away in Bolton at the De Vere Whites in the Reebok Stadium filming and photographing Bela’s bridal preparations. It was a beautiful morning and the light was just perfect in Bela’s hotel room which helped us capture some stunning footage as she got ready for her Indian wedding day.

As a videographer I have to say that Hindu weddings are probably my favourite events of all. Indian wedding videos are always so full of colour, emotion and detail – which always makes them a pleasure to capture. Anna & Nadir ❘ Wedderburn Castle Wedding, Scotland

After finishing a wedding in London my lovely wife drove me all the way up to Wedderburn Castle in Duns, Scotland (whilst I had a sleep) for Anna & Nadir’s wedding. I was looking forward to this one as they were starting the day with chinese wedding games which I love filming. Chinese games are used as a way to ease the tension and anxiety before the wedding ceremony. The games include tasks from the bridesmaids which the groom has to complete in order to prove his love and be allowed to collect his bride. Anyway, Nadir arrived looking rather nervous and looked a little more nervous after the bridesmaids had dressed him in an apron, bra and washing up gloves. After completing his tasks Nadir and Anna headed over to Wedderburn Castle for their civil ceremony which took place outside. Anyway, please check out their Wedderburn Castle Wedding Video below.

A little while back I filmed Oliver and Jessica’s wedding at Wasing Park in Aldermaston. They live in Australia but travelled back to the UK to get married. Last weekend they had there Australian wedding party where they showed their wedding video to all their guests. Oliver emailed me this morning and this is what they had to say about the evening:

“We held the party in a hotel in St Kilda where we had welcome drinks before moving everyone into the conference room which was set out like a cinema (with cups of popcorn for everyone) where we showed the video. I stitched together some footage of my proposal, your ceremony wedding video and then the mini montage at the end. It went down a treat! Everyone “aaah’ed” at the proposal video, laughed(!) and cheered at the ceremony and were blown away by your montage. We then went through to the hotel restaurant for the food, speeches and disco and I had people coming up to me all evening to say how much they loved the video and the way it had been edited with the music. Everyone who hadn’t had a video for their wedding said they wished they had done it, and everyone who already had one, said that ours was better!!

All in all, we couldn’t have been happier with it, so thanks very much once again.”

Oliver & Jessica ❘ Wasing Park Barn Wedding, Berkshire

Another fantastic couple!! Oliver & Jessica live in Australia but travelled back to the UK for their Wasing Park Barn wedding in Aldermaston, West Berkshire. The sun was shining and the tree’s were in full blossom and so it was the perfect day for any wedding videographer or wedding photographer to capture some stunning imagery. Oliver & Jessica had their civil ceremony in the Ceremony Barn Anyway, here is their Wasing Park Barn wedding video highlights from their day and a big thank you to Oliver and Jessica for making me feel so welcome.

Here are a few thoughts from Oliver and Jessica

Q1) What was the favourite parts of your big day?
My stand out moment was when we went outside after the meal. Jessica was stood under a blossom tree and smiled over her shoulder at me. That image was something I’ll never forget. I just thought “Wow, She’s Stunning!”. Jessica’s friend Emma Masters and her cousin James Harding played an acoustic version of Bryan Adams “I’ll Always Be Right There” during the ceremony. They had only rehearsed it together once, 10 minutes before the ceremony but they pulled it off brilliantly.Everyone finishing the night by singing New York New York in a circle with Jessica and me in the middle.

Q2) What do you love about being married?
Knowing that you’ll always have each other and being able to build plans for the future together.

Q3) Why did you want a wedding film of your day?
Everyone had warned us that the day would be a blur so we wanted to capture as much of it as possible to re-live it over again and share it with our children in years to come. We’d seen the wedding video Shaun had done for our friends Neil and Hannah and it was exactly what we wanted.

Q4) Any advice for future bride and grooms?
Enjoy it! It can be easy to get distracted by so much going on, but it’s a day about the two of you.

Ian & Kate ❘ Moxhull Hall Wedding Film

Ian and Kate were such a great couple to work with and it was a real privilege capture their wedding film for them. The day started with filming the bridal preparations followed by their wedding at the beautiful Birmingham Oratory Church in Edgbaston. Just before the ceremony Ian’s dad took ill and an ambulance was called to take him to hospital but thankfully he recovered and joined us later in the day. The wedding ceremony was great and I love the moment in the wedding video where Ian and Kate see each other for the first time that day. After exchanging vows and signing the register they left the Birmingham Oratory and headed for Moxhull Hall for the rest of the day. It was a freezing day and so the wedding photos at Moxhull Hall were mainly inside due to the snow. Later in the day they popped their wellies on and went out into the snow with photographers Dave and Emma from Dave Nunn Studios who are good friends of mine and had some more photos. After the cutting of the cake and first dance the day finished with Ian playing the guitar with his band. Thanks once again for making me feel so welcome and here is a coming soon clip for their wedding dvd.

Q1) What was the favourite parts of your big day?
Seeing Kate at the altar for the first time, the priest whispering “you’re married now”, the first dance when it felt like no-one else was there.

Q2) What do you love about being married?
Having a future to plan and fight for, waking up every morning with my gorgeous life partner, being a part of a permanent team.

Q3) Why did you want a wedding film of your day?
To show to our kids, to re-live the day again and again, to capture our family.

Q4) Any advice for future bride and grooms?
DO IT!

Colwick Hall Wedding Fair

A few weeks ago I was asked by White Media Ltd to film March’s wedding Fair at Colwick Hall Hotel in Nottingham. Colwick Hall Hotel is a country house mansion surrounded by acres of parkland. It’s a great wedding venue and with it’s lakeside Pavillion and marquee makes a great setting for a wedding videographer or wedding photographer to capture your day. There were over 200 brides that came through the doors with suppliers offering wedding cakes, wedding cars, wedding video, wedding photography and so much more.

Cheshire Wedding Video

We had a fantastic day with James and Victoria. I started filming Bridal preparations at Victoria’s house whilst steve my other Videographer was with the Groom as they got ready. The Bride and Bridesmaids were extremely relaxed which was a great start to the day and always makes our job so much easier. We love to stay in the background capturing the emotion and laughter as it naturally unfolds. As storytellers we prefer working this way as it always makes for a far more interesting wedding video.

Once the preparations had finished we quickly packed up and set off to the Holy Angels Catholic Church in Hale Barns, Cheshire followed by the Tatton Park wedding reception. Tatton Park Mansion is set in 1,000 acres of Cheshire countryside and is the perfect venue for any wedding photographer or wedding videographer to capture some stunning shots. From the venue to the entertainment, this was a fantastic day to film. Anyway, here’s part of the wedding dvd covering the Bride and Grooms preparations.
