Greek Christening Photography | Andreas

Today we have some more Greek Christening Photography for you. It was a pleasure to be back at The Greek Orthodox Church of the Virgin Mary Eleousa in Nottingham to film and photograph Andreas’s Greek Christening.  This church is beautiful, full of ornate detail.  Andreas’s mum laid out his christening outfit at the front and all the guests started to arrive.  Andreas was wide awake, he knew something was going on.  The last Christening I photographed, the baby cried all the way through his baptism ceremony so it’s always interesting waiting to see how they will respond!  The priest started the the Christening ceremony with a blessing and then Andreas was undressed and anointed with oil.  Andreas didn’t seem to mind at all.  He was then baptised in the font and dressed in his Christening outfit.  After the ceremony everyone headed to Eastwood Hall for a party.  Chrisoulla  had done a great job with the decorating, the theme was the Mr Men, the tables had hot air balloons in the middle and there was a sweet table with Mr Men lollies, sweets and cakes.  The kids had a great time entertained by Ronnie with balloon animals, games and magic.  So here are some of our favourite photos from the day.
