Me & Shaun had been looking forward to this engagement photography shoot for a long time. Portobello Market near Notting Hill is one of our favourite places in London, so when Nilpa and Vikram chose it as the location for their engagement shoot I was really pleased. It was just before Christmas so the market was even busier than usual. Everybody out present shopping, people selling christmas trees and loads of lovely food stalls, made me sooo hungry! Portobello Market has everything, you can spend hours looking at all the quirky nic-nacs, drinking coffee and eating cake, we love it. You’re never short of a stunning background either. I absolutely love bright colours, and there’s just so many to choose from. It was a great engagement shoot and we had so much fun. After buying a few bits for their new house Nilpa & Vikram stopped to refuel with some Paella. Then it was time to say goodbye, we left them to finish their shopping and went to find a big piece of cake and a cup of tea. We love doing this kind of engagement shoot, its always fresh and exciting.
Urban backgrounds work great for wedding shoots too. So many people limit their wedding day Photo-shoot to parks and gardens. Sometimes to add some colour and texture and the spontinaity of simply walking through the town seeing what you find, can make for an awesome set of creative images completely personal to you. Anyway, thank you to Nilpa and Vikram for being amazing and fun. We love London and this has to be one of our favourite couple shoots of all time and are a few of our favourite photographs from their engagement session. I look forward to seeing you at the wedding when it’s a little warmer!
