Great day on Friday photographing Richard and Rachel’s Wedding, the weather was amazing, flash floods and thunder and lightening! St Andrews church in Prestwold held lots of opportunities for photographs, theres an old kissing gate leading to a grass meadow and lots of twisted trees and romantic corners. It rained so hard the bride had to be carried to the car to try and preserve her dress so we didn’t get to frolic in the meadow!
Here’s a few preparations images, more to follow shortly. I had to laugh when I loaded the photo’s across and realised the name of the salon was H2O! Water was definitely the theme of the day!!

The Wedding breakfast was held at Sutton Bonington Hall near Loughborough. It was a gorgeous venue chosen by Richard and Rachel because of the photo opportunities it held, we managed to grab a few minutes outside in between showers. It was a great day, lots of fun!

Thank you sooooo much all you did on the day, coping with the rain, thunder and lightening, hailstones (yes there were) and using your imagination to great effect it’s impossible to choose a favorite however some of them where you’ve captured a moment are particularly wonderful. I love the one of Rich as he’s waiting for Rachel to come down the aisle – it isn’t just a photograph it captures something particularly special. And a moment of inspiration – all the umbrellas(!) and Rachel’s shoes reflecting in the puddles. What an incredible talented lady.

Joy you are so talented and together with Megan you both made the day easier with the way you took the photos. We were concerned from the start about getting a photographer that was too bossy, imposing and not allowing of privacy or our initiative, but you and Megan didn’t concern us on any of those points. You were both incredible and anyone who hires you will find themselves in amazingly good care.
