Session Details

How it all Works

Portrait sessions can take place at your family home, a local park or we can accompany you on a favourite walk.  We love places that generate energy and fun, as this enables us to capture real expressions and interactions.  This together with our skills in creating natural poses and capturing candid moments will provide you with a beautiful set of images.  This approach works really well for children as we can capture fantastic natural images whilst they simply have a nice day out or go about their daily activities at home.  For pregnant mums and new parents we find they appreciate someone coming to them and working in a relaxed manner rather than having to be at a studio for a set appointment remembering outfits, food and baby equipment.

The Photo Session

The photo session itself usually takes around 2 hours depending on who and how many people are being photographed, with small children we find small bursts of photography with breaks in between works best. We encourage you to have different outfits available and any items that could be included in the photographs; favourite toys, old hats, umbrellas etc.

After the Session

After the session we go away and work on your images.  About 10 days later we will email you details of how you can access your photographs in a password protected online gallery.  Most orders can be made over the telephone.  Sometimes it is necessary to come into the office to complete an order as some products have design elements with lots of colour, materials options etc.  As a company we pride ourselves on our quality service and customer care, we believe our work speaks for itself and you will therefore at no point during the process experience any pushy sales techniques.

Your purchases will be delivered approximately 3 weeks from receiving payment depending on which items are ordered.

Maternity and Newborn photography

Our maternity and newborn sessions are designed to be relaxed and enjoyable.  With lots of experience of working with children, babies and their families and as a mum myself I understand the stresses and strains and intense emotions of pregnancy and living with a newborn.  Yours will be the only booking that day so you can relax, there will be plenty of time for feeding, sleeping, loo breaks and cups of tea!  You don’t need to worry about cleaning your whole house, you will just need one or two spaces clear to take the photographs, I won’t be inspecting your kitchen, washing pile etc!!

People always ask about clothing, for pregnancy sessions simple fitted clothing works well, vest tops, pre-pregnancy jeans, a white shirt etc. the most important thing is that you are comfortable.  Its a perfect excuse for a manicure, as there will be close up shots of your hands.

For newborn babies there are always hundreds of outfits lined up to be photographed!  Newborns always look at their best in their birthday suit or just a nappy.  A white shawl or blanket works well to wrap them in and light clothing preferably white.  Little hats and booties are always great.

Please don’t worry about clothing there will be plenty of time on the day to pick out outfits.
