Alex and James had their pre wedding shoot in the tiny village of Irnam near Grantham. Alex will be getting ready at her parents house in the village and getting married just around the corner at St Andrew’s church. It was great to meet Alex and James and chat about their wedding, they were really relaxed on the shoot and just went with the flow even when I had them climbing through a corn field! As a portrait photographer I love going to new places and searching out textural backdrops and unique objects to add interest to my portrait photography, I do think people think I’m a bit crazy sometimes especially when I get over excited about long grass and rusty railings etc! We met at the little church which was beautiful and surrounded by old stone walls and hidey holes. Their was an old lamppost in the trees like the one in the lion, the witch and the wardrobe. James started to climb the lamppost followed by spontaneous skipping down the drive, it was at this point when I thought, I’m going to really enjoy working with this couple! We walked through the village and ended up in a corn field, which was brilliant and I took too many pictures! When we were walking back we saw the farmer heading out to cut the corn, we got there just in time. Enjoy the pictures, I’m really looking forward to their wedding at Harlaxton Manor in a few weeks time.

Delyth and Mark | Pre-Wedding Shoot

Mark and Delyth were on a flying visit back to the Uk from Switzerland just for the weekend, they came straight from the airport to meet me at Tamworth Castle for a quick pre-wedding shoot. Mark and Delyth are getting married at Rowton Castle, Shrewsbury at the end of this month so we’re really looking forward to filming and photographing their wedding. Here are a few of their pre-wedding photos.

You may remember this lovely couple from their ‘Save the Date‘ blog post. Well that date is fast approaching so time for a quick pre-wedding shoot. Matt and Megan have a town centre location for their big day and wanted some urban style pics as well as the usual classics, very exciting! We went to scout a few locations, it was great fun. So looking forward to this wedding.

A pre-wedding Photo session is a great opportunity for a couple to get to know their photographer and vice versa. It gives you an idea of how we will approach your photography on your wedding day and helps you become more relaxed in front of the camera. Pre-wedding shoots can be arranged at your wedding venue or at any location of your choice, they are informal and fun. After your shoot your images will be edited and displayed in our proofing gallery where you have an option to order any that you like. Prestwold Hall Pre-Wedding shoot

Pre-Wedding Shoot at Prestwold Hall, Leicestershire with Clair and David in the rain! It was the only day it’s rained in the last couple of weeks and it rained good and proper all afternoon! We dodged between trees and doorways and got very wet but best to get the rain out of the way before the Wedding!

Matt and Megan ❘ ‘Save the Date’ Photographs

I’m going to be photographing Matt and Megan’s Wedding in October . They had their ‘Save the Date video‘ filmed on Saturday by Shaun so I went along to assist!! (very helpful I was too!) Couldn’t resist sneaking out the old camera!! It was great fun and I took lots of pics even though I’ve got their official pre wedding shoot is in a few days time. It is days like this when I realise I really do have the best job!

Whilst out scouting for a good location I found this great little spot hidden in the countryside and Matt gallantly lifted Megan through the nettles for a few photo’s.
