Madhuparkais the ceremony that welcomes the Bridegroom to the altar. The Bride offers the Groom Yoghurt and honey as a sign of purity. The Bride then Garlands the Groom. and he returns.
Kanya Danis the ceremony where the Brides Father gives his daughter to the Groom. Sacred water is poured to symbolise the give away. Vivah-Homa is the sacred fire ceremony.
Pani-Grahan is where the Bride and Groom stand opposite each other and recite Vedic recitations. Pratigna-Karan, is where the Bride and Groom walk around the fire and Shila Arohan
is where the Brides mother helps her to step onto a stone in preparation for new life. Laja-Homah, The Mangala Suthra Dharana, Pradakshina, Saptapadi, Abhishek, Anna Praashan follows
ending with the Aashivadah ceremony with blessings and the completion of the marriage.
