It was so nice to meet up with Laura & Phil for their wedding at the Fennes in Essex. The Fennes is a fantastic wedding venue with a manor house surrounded by 100 acres of essex countryside. When I first arrived at the Fennes it was pouring down with rain so I quickly got my gear and headed inside to have a good look around. Once I saw the bright colours and lovely rooms I knew it was going to be a great day. As a story teller I prefer the Bride and Groom getting ready at the same venue. I think the wedding video flows much nicer when you can see the bride and groom getting ready!! There’s is a funny bit in the wedding video where Laura’s dress is being tightened and she nearly falls over but luckily the hairdresser catches her!! The ceremony ended with a Jewish blessing under the Huppa and then the rest of the day just seemed to fly by so quickly. The Fennes offers lots of choices for a wedding videographer or wedding photography to capture some great details and once it had stopped raining we headed outside to the gardens for some video and photos. The weather held nicely for us and before long we were back inside the Fennes for speeches, food and some lively Jewish dancing!! A big thank you to Laura and Phil for making me feel so welcome and here are their wedding video highlights from the Fennes in Essex.

The Fennes: Laura & Phils Thoughts

Q1) What was your favourite part of the day?
BRIDE: Seeing my husband waiting at the end of the aisle and knowing that the happiest moment of my life was coming true.
GROOM: I will never forget seeing my beautiful wife walking down the aisle and seeing her smile beaming, just as much as mine.

Q2)  What do you love about being married?
BRIDE: The everyday little things, like cooking dinners together, making our house into a home and knowing that we are a team, on each other’s side to face all that life has to offer.
GROOM: Knowing that we get to spend the rest of our lives together, sharing all of life’s experiences and feeling so proud to introduce Laura as my wife.

Q3)  Tell us about your venue & suppliers.
We got married at the Fennes Estate in Braintree, Essex and had a variety of music throughout the day, a fantastic band for the dinner ‘Urban Blue’, string quartet ‘Reflection Strings’ and DJ for the evening ‘Gemini Sounds’. My dress was designed by Maggie Sottero ‘Brittney’ and my bridesmaids dresses were by Alfred Angelo. The flowers were beautifully put together by Sasha’s in Woodford and I made the table plan myself using Hobbycraft materials. The Grooms party hired thier morning suits from Moss Bros.

Q4) What advice do you have for future bride and grooms when planning their wedding?
GROOM: To remember that no matter what, the day will be the happiest of your life. But also make sure you tell the best man the directions to the venue or you will find yourself only having the time to have a quick packet of monster munch before the wedding.
BRIDE: To savour every moment and step back to look at your wonderful day with your partner while the celebrations are going on. Remember that the wedding is just one wonderful magical day but the marriage is the thing to look forward to.
